In the near future we are planning to provide online training/information sessions for parents, carers and young people to help you understand the EHCP process, the time scales involved and your rights during this process. At UPSEND we know that knowledge is power and we believe that every parent, carer, child and young person should fully understand their legal rights and how the EHCP process works, with this in mind we have created a number of live information sessions that allow you to learn about the EHCP process and give you a chance to ask related question*.

SEND & EHCP the beginning
Are you new to the world of SEND? Maybe your child or young person has only just received a diagnosis, maybe they don't have a diagnosis but you know they need help. This information session is for you. Here we run through the basics starting from the very beginning including understanding the confusing jargon. This information session also gives you a chance to ask questions about the information covered*
EHCP Process
We recommend this information session for parents who have completed the SEND & EHCP the beginning information session or who already have a basic understanding and wish to understand the EHCP process in more detail. This information session focuses on the process and the timescales involved. As well as jargon busting and a chance to answer any questions about the process*.
The EHCP document
This information session is aimed at studying the EHCP document, understanding what it should look like, what should be contained within it, annual review and more. There will be a chance to ask any questions related to EHCP contents*.
School selection
Choosing the right school for any child is a huge decision, for a child with SEND that process can seem even more daunting. This information session is aimed at parents who are choosing a school for their child, be that primary, secondary or a specialist school to meet a child's needs. This information session covers the different types of school, how to determine if the school is right for your child and additional information you may need. There will be a chance to ask any questions related to the school choosing process*.
